The Dancer’s Advantage SCHOOL POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Attendance – TDA programs run year around. Enrollment with the TDA is a commitment to attend all classes for the current session. Missed classes may be made up by attending another class of the student’s current level in the same month missed.
PARENT VIEWING – Due to limited space at the Park Hill location, we ask that TDA-Park Hill parents drop off their dancers and leave the school for the duration of class. Parents are welcome to observe scheduled classes on their Last Class of each Month. We ask that parents of the dancers be aware of their influence and possible distraction and observe accordingly. We also ask that parents refrain from talking while in the classroom or immediately outside the classroom area. Note: Adagio Bakery is next door and has great pastries, teas, and coffee!
TARDINESS – The Dancer’s Advantage takes its training responsibility to each student seriously. The opening exercise is designed to prepare the young dancer physically and mentally for the rest of the class. Dancers who arrive late miss the first exercise and disrupt the class focus. For this reason we request that students make every effort to arrive in advance of the first class exercise.
We are unable to refund or prorate tuition for missed classes. Make-Ups are available. We are dedicated to excellent dance instruction as an L.L.C.
MAKE-UPS – If a Parent or Adult Student calls. Missed classes must be made up within the month missed and scheduled in advance of the make-up day. Once scheduled, all make-ups are counted.
PARKING – Parking is available in our parking lot or along 23rd and Dexter.
DROP OFF/PICK UP – Students may arrive at the studio on their own, either from school or dropped off. However, we cannot be responsible for students outside the building. We ask parents not to drop off dancers age 4-7 years more than 5 minutes before class starts. Our Park Hill school does not have staff or room available for the daycare of these students. Students waiting to be picked up must wait inside the reception area. Parents please pick up your children at the end of their scheduled class time.
DRESS CODE – All students must wear their appropriate class dress code. Hair must be neatly pulled back, A bun is required.
SESSION REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE FEE – The Dancer’s Advantage requires a full session commitment of all enrolled students. A $35 Annual insurance fee is required for all students each September 1st. The insurance fee is not adjusted until July each year.
