Dress Code
All students must wear their appropriate class dress code. Hair must be neatly pulled back and away from the dancer’s face. The Dancer’s Advantage dress code is designed to maximize each dancer’s experience.
Dancers age 3 to 11 years old.
Hair must not be in the dancer’s face. Dancers age 3 to 10 years old, ponytails are allowed as long as the tail does not hit the dancer’s eyes or face. A bun is preferred.
Dress: Creative Movement, Pre-Beginning Ballet Ages 3-5, Ballet I-III Ages 6-8 Ballet IV-V Ages 9-10. It is requested that dancers ages 3-10 years old ware a black or pink leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. A skirt is optional. Hair must not be in the dancer’s face.
Mid - Upper Level Dancers age 8-19 years old Hair and Dress Codes:
Hair must be in a bun. Please be sure to bring extra hair ties.
Ballet III - Dark Blue spaghetti strap Leotard, Pink Tights, Pink ballet shoes.
Ballet III, IV, V, Pre-Professional – Black spaghetti strap Leotard, Pink Tights, Pink ballet shoes.
Leg warmers and sweats may not be worn after initial exercises. Leg warmer and sweats will be removed at the Instructors Request. Point shoes must have sewn ribbons and elastics. Elastics alone will not hold the shoe on and can facilitate an injury to the dancer.
HipHop Jazz All Ages
Dancers may ware Warm-Ups or sweats as desired. Jazz pants and a t-shirt are best. No clothing color restrictions are in place. Soft Jazz shoes or ballet shoes may be worn. No Street or Tap Shoes of Any Kind may be worn on the dance floor.
Modern Dance, Contact Improve, Choreography, Pilates, Classes All Ages
Dancers must ware leotard, tights, unitard, Warm-ups. No color clothing restrictions are in place. Leg warmers and sweats may be worn for the first exercises of a class, but must be removed at instructor request. Feet should be bare unless instructor requires ballet or jazz shoes be worn. No Street Shoes are allowed on the Studio Floor.
